Planning Your Alaska Fishing Trip

Planning your Alaska fishing charter is fairly easy. First, you will need to decide which species of fish to target, then determine when you should come (see chart below). We also recommend that you determine the number of people in your party early to enable us to make the appropriate arrangements. Groups of four or eight are best, but we will do our best to accommodate any number. We also offer several lodging options depending on your needs.

There are numerous things to do and see in Alaska, so for those interested in non-fishing endeavors, we can assist in planning those activities as well. Please feel free to email or call if you have questions. We want you to have the best vacation ever!

  • Kenai River King Salmon Charters - Kenai River king salmon fishing is best during June and July. These are also peak months for tourism on the Kenai Peninsula, so if you prefer a slower pace, consider the options below.
  • Saltwater King and Halibut Combo Charters - We offer saltwater fishing trips out of Homer and Deep Creek (Ninilchik) from April to June 10th.
  • Saltwater Halibut and Lingcod Combo Charters - We offer these exciting fishing trips out of Homer July through August.
  • Silver Salmon Fishing Charters - Seward's Resurrection Bay and Kenai River silver salmon fishing peaks during August. Fishing these acrobatic fighters is truly exciting!
  • Kenai River Rainbow Trout Fishing - The middle Kenai River also offers world class rainbow trout fishing during August and September.
  • Pink Salmon Fishing - If you decide to bring children, even-numbered years are spectacular, because pink salmon fill the rivers and are easily caught.
  • Red Salmon Fishing - Don't forget about red salmon (sockeye salmon). These strong fighters run during June and again in July, so be ready to wet your lines from the bank at least a few times.
  • Winter King Salmon and Halibut Fishing - Adventurous anglers looking for a unique experience should try winter king salmon and halibut fishing trips out of Homer Alaska. During February and March, good fishing and the beauty of Kachemak Bay and its surrounding peaks make this Alaska fishing trip a truly awesome experience.
