Catch fish so big that you don't have to lie!
If you are looking for a first-rate guided Alaska fishing trip, you have come to the right place. We have fished the waters of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula for over 20 years. Whether you prefer trophy king salmon, rainbow trout, feisty coho salmon, sockeye salmon, pink salmon, or huge halibut, we can accommodate you.
We offer day trips and full package deals, which include lodging and guided fishing adventures on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers, Cook Inlet, and Seward's Resurrection Bay. We are licensed, insured, and fully equipped with quality boats, tackle and safety equipment, so you can enjoy the fishing experience of a lifetime without having to worry about the details. |
Kenai River King Salmon Fishing Trips
The Kenai River is famous for producing the world's largest king salmon (chinook salmon). Early and late run fish typically range from 30-40 and 40-50 pounds, respectively. However, we catch a number of exceptional fish weighing over 60 pounds each year. The world record king salmon weighed 97 pounds, 4 ounces and was taken from the Kenai River on May 17, 1985. We offer guided fishing adventures on this unique river from early May to July 31. |
Alaska Silver Salmon Fishing Trips
Try silver salmon (coho salmon) if you desire lots of action. These hard-running, frenzied fighters are a favorite among many anglers because of their aggressive nature and plentiful numbers. Silver salmon weigh from 6 to 18 pounds and are generally fished with light tackle. Silvers are also accompanied by huge schools of pink salmon during even years. Silver salmon fishing trips are available from August 1 to September 30. |
Alaska Rainbow Trout Fishing Trips
From August to October, the Kenai River offers some of the best trophy rainbow trout fishing in Alaska. On a typical day, an angler can land 15 to 25 of these hard-fighting fish. Although it is legal to retain rainbow trout, we currently offer catch-and-release fishing only. |
Alaska Halibut Fishing Trips
Incredible halibut fishing opportunities exist out of Homer, Seward and Ninilchik from April through September. We offer exciting halibut charters during this period and often seek both halibut and saltwater king salmon during Cook Inlet combo trips in April and May.
Halibut typically weigh from 15 to 40 pounds, but it's not uncommon to catch a monster-sized fish weighing over 100 pounds. Although catching huge halibut is a thrill, these fish are also highly desirable because of their light, delicate taste. |
Other Salmon
During even years, huge schools of pink salmon averaging four to seven pounds accompany silver salmon. Pink salmon are easy to catch and fun for the entire family. They make delicious smoked salmon, and a large catch limit allows one to easily fill the freezer.
Red salmon (sockeye salmon) range from five to eight pounds and run during June and July. Although we typically don't offer guided red salmon fishing trips, these fish shouldn't be overlooked. They are best caught from shore using a drift method, and many anglers spend the long summer evenings casting for them at the numerous public fishing areas along the Kenai River.
