Humpback whales are commonly seen when fishing out of Homer Alaska. In fact, it's very rare not to see whales. Feeding whales are typically followed closely by shearwaters, gulls and puffins. Be sure to bring your camera, because we always stop for whale watching when whales are engaged in interesting behavior such as breaching, fin slapping, lob-tailing or lunge feeding.
